Is it possible to lose weight in a week?
I REALLY need to lose weight. I am very upset and I feel horrible! Please tell me the best way to lose 30 pounds (or at least a few) in a little under a week.
okay okay. I want to lose the tummy, the thigh, and the arm fat I have so that I can look fairly good in a swimsuit without feeling uncomfortable.
Sorry to say but none of these answers work!
Sorry, not possible. There are fad diets that you can lose quick weight with, but it will come right back when you go off it. Best to just use your feelings right now to make yourself resolve to doing it right!
Get started on a calorie reduction diet, keep track of your caloric intake, and start walking for exercise. Cut out most all beverages except for water, lots of water, flavor with lemon or lime if you want.
30 pounds is too much to lose in a week. Try cutting 500 calories a day from your diet. That will add up to one pound at the end of one week. Combine that with exercise, and you and increase that. Cut sugar and other carbohydrates, and you can increase it a little more. But you don’t want to lose more than5-10 pounds in one week. That is dangerous.

Wrap yourself in saran wrap and sit out in the sun. Don’t drink water.
OR – stop setting unrealistic goals, see a doctor, and get on a reasonable weight loss and exercise plan.

The only way to lose that much is to have a limb amputated. If you feel upset and horrible, then losing weight won’t solve all your problems – this is an emotional/psychological issue for you, and you should talk to a good, non-judgemental friend or preferably a trained counsellor.
If you lose more than 5 pounds per week when you are on a diet, then your body will go into starvation mode, and as soon as you start eating normally again you will gain 1.5 times the amount of weight you lost.
The advice from another respondant about cutting 500 calories and exercising is good, but I disagree about cutting carbs – that is a modern fad diet, carbs are an important food group.
I’m sorry, there are no miracle answers, if there were then we’d all have perfectly toned Hollywood bodies.
