<p>Have i eaten enough today?<br />
Most days i have a bowl of cereal with skimmed milk for breakfast, an egg sandwich no mayo for lunch and a bowl of cereal again for dinner.<br />
I do not eat after 5pm.<br />
Is this enough to maintain my weight?</p>

<p>Why have my periods stopped?<br />
I have always been very regular (every 21-23 days) but i have now not had a period for 2 months. I have been celibate since August so there is no way i can be pregnant but i have changed my eating habits. I used to eat lots of small meals a day throughout the day but now i just eat in the evening due to work.<br />
I&#8217;ve not intentionally been starving myself but could it be that i am not eating enought and thats why they&#8217;ve stopped (i don&#8217;t weigh myself) or can the mere change of eating habits stop periods for a bit?</p>

I&#8217;ve never had an appetite or really enjoyed food since i was young but when i was living at home my mum would force me to eat or give me calorie laden food when i did eat. Now however i&#8217;ve moved out and looking back i&#8217;ve realised i&#8217;ve only been eating about 700kcal a day and i don&#8217;t tend to eat anything before 5pm.<br />
Am i going to lose a lot of weight? </p>
<p>N.B I don&#8217;t have an eating disorder and i don&#8217;t want to lose weight i just dont remember to eat!</p>
<p>anorexics would have a SLOWER metabolic rate!  they starve themselves and so their bodies would be trying to live off fat they may already have.  NOT  a good road to go down!</p>
<p>Reiss: get some help on your eating disoder .</p>

I&#8217;ve been reading on several sites about how walking is a great form of exercise when trying to lose weight. But how can brisk walking help you lose weight if you&#8217;re not sweating? I just never break out in a sweat when taking a walk, not sure if it&#8217;s the cold weather or what. But is brisk walking truly a great way to lose weight? And how?<br />
<br />Walking is one of the best forms of cardio because its the easiest and it raises you heart rate which burns calories and raises your metabolism. Its also the easiest on your joints and muscle. Less could go wrong for your body with walking than any other cardio activity.</p>

btw please dont tell me how eating 200 calories isnt good- i just made up a low number im not actually eating that much<br />
<br />If you managed to survive the whole week you might actually weigh MORE. Eating so little your metabolism screeches to a complete halt and your body goes into starvation or survival mode to conserve every bit of fuel you put into it. You will not be burning any fat whatsoever. Your body will be feeding off of your muscles and internal organs (including your heart) just for the energy to stay alive!</p>
<p>If you are trying to lose weight you should be exercising for a MINIMUM of 60 minutes every day, and eating at least every 2-3 hours. Eating at least 5 or 6 small meals or healthy snacks every day will speed up your metabolism, combined with the exercise, you will drop weight off in no time. You should never go under 1200 calories per day for any reason. Also, the more active you are, the more calories you need in your diet to give you the energy to get through your day without damaging your body.</p>
