PostHeaderIcon How to lose weight in a week or 2?

I’m not so happy with my body. I want to lose 3-7 pounds in a week or 2. I have tried acai berry. It didn’t work. I do exercise and drink water, but nothing is helping. I watch out for calories and this weight won’t seem to go away. I want mostly home remedies to do, but if I need to purchase something, I will. thanks xx

Here are some simple steps to help you lose weight:

1.Before dieting, you must know how many calories you normally need in a day. If you are sedentary, multiply your weight (in pounds) by fifteen. If you are moderately active, multiply your weight by seventeen; if you are active, multiply your weight by twenty. This will give you the average calorie intake you need per day.

2.Remember to eat your fruits and veggies! You need at least five servings of them per day – doing this will put you on the right track to a healthy body, because fruits and vegetables have beneficial fibers, vitamins and antioxidants. They also fill up your stomach fast so that you don’t overeat and take into many calories.

3.Monitor the quantity of food you eat. Avoid high-calorie foods and eat in small portions. A helpful tip is to chew your food slowly because this makes digestion easy on your body and you will also be less likely to overeat.

4.Don’t skip meals. When you want to lose weight it may be tempting to starve yourself – but eating small amounts of food frequently can help you maintain a healthy, balanced calorie intake throughout the day. Also, your blood sugar level will be adversely affected if you don’t eat often. You can even divide the standard allotment of three meals into five or six smaller meals.

5.Fresh fruits and vegetables are ideal – packaged and processed foods have high sodium and fat content. You are more likely to lose weight if you eat naturally fresh foods.

6.Don’t limit your food intake too much. Go ahead and indulge yourself; eat your favorite treat. It’s okay to have that slice of birthday cake at the occasional party. Just make sure to eat in moderation and use those special desserts as rewards, instead of enemies, to your weight loss experience.

7.Don’t always believe everything you read on a food label. “Fat free” does not necessarily mean low calories. The same wisdom goes for foods that boast “low sugar” or “low carbs.” Glance over the nutrition label – there you’ll find the calorie count.

8.Try to limit the number of juices and sugary beverages you drink. Instead, drink eight glasses water a day – this flushes out your body’s toxins and waste.

9.If possible, keep a food journal. This will help you keep track of your calorie intake and will be a daily reminder of the types of foods you need.

10.Don’t forget to exercise! Thirty to sixty minutes of physical activity a day will ensure your health and help you lose weight (and not to mention, firm up those muscles). Weight-bearing exercises are especially great ways to burn those pesky calories.

I am not that over weight but I would like to lose 20 to 30 pounds so I can be ready for the beach this summer. Can anyone help me?

What I real want to know is what can I do to lose weight with in a week like crunches, squotes and what is the easiest way to do these pleace help

If you want to lose weight some weeks. You can try Lose weight a week plan first!

Day 1:

Eat the soup accompanied with watermelon and melon for your main food all day long. Consume a glass of unsweetened cranberry juice before you go to bed.

Day 2:

Stop eating fruit at all! Consume your soup and you are allowed to eat green salad. Make sure the salad contain no dressings, peas and corns.

For dinner you can consume roasted potato or baked potato with butter (don’t ever think to fry it)

Day 3:

Consume the soup, salad and fruit but no potato today.

Day 4:

Eat the soup accompanied with a glass of skimmed milk. Consume 8 pieces of banana to provide your body enough energy. Your body now need carbohydrate and protein also calcium to lessen body need for sugar.

Day 5

Eat your soup again. Today you should consume salad and salmon fish. Make sure the salmon fish don’t exceed 10 ounces.

Day 6

You should consume maximum 10 ounces of meat along with your soup. You need the protein here.

Last Day

Consume 4 table spoons of rice with vegetables. Drink fresh watermelon or melon juice without sugar and eat your soup also today.

I really want to lose weight fast and tone up. My aim is to lose a stone within a week.

Do not stop eating completely. Food is fuel, and if you go working out, you will do more harm than good.

Cut down to one meal a day, take plenty of vitamins (Fruit and maybe a multivitamin pill) and eat healthy stuff. Exercise regularly and it will take time, but you will get there.

If you do what you say you want to do, you will end up in casualty where the food is seriously bad, and the exercise regime even worse!

I lost 15 kilos in 10 months by eating one meal a day and small exercise routine. If it worked for me – it should work for you.

Forget the fads my friend, do it the right way. Lots of things are advertised as ‘helping’ you to lose weight. And most of them do. Think about this…

They say it takes three weeks to make a habit and three months to break it. So try making new habits instead of breaking old ones. In other words, eat fruit and drink a glass of water before your main meal. After three weeks, this will become a habit and you will actually miss doing it if you don’t. With a full stomach, you will consume less calory packed food during the meal itself.

Another habit to form – chew each mouthful ten or twenty times before swallowing. This will make your stomach tell your brain you are full even before you finish your plate. I used to eat so fast I would gulp down huge amounts of food from my plate and still want to eat more only half an hour after leaving the table. I could literally eat third or even fourth helpings and then never understand how I could still feel ‘hungry’ after eating so much. Nowadays however, I cannot swallow before turning the solids to liquid and never get second helpings. Make new habits, don’t try to break old ones.

Make a habit of going to the gym, or pool or walking or using the stairs or whatever. Soon enough, you will miss it if you don’t do it.

Do something different today, walk down a street you’ve never been down, eat a fruit you’ve never tried. Whatever, just start a new habit today.

Anyway, those are just some tips my friend but even weight watchers, tapes or notepads and much less my words will not MAKE you lose weight, they will only HELP you do the only thing that will MAKE you shed pounds or kilos.

PostHeaderIcon I need to lose weight in a week! How can I do this safely and quickly.?

For my upcoming field trip my friends say I should lose some weight. (Note that I completely agree.)
I’m 5′5 and weigh 135lbs. I’m trying to lose at least 10lbs. I’ve searched the web. I found one site and it says to take in like 3000 calories in three days then try to drop down to like 2000 so you burn an extra 1000 or something like that. Would that work?

yes, at your size you can get away with even 1500 calories/day for a week. it will suck and the weight will come right back but it won’t be harmful. make sure to get some cardio in too for added loss.
remember, only a week.
